Water Ways 2007

Water Ways 2007 is going to be great. With 3 days a valuable knowledge and information; why would anyone want to miss out? Water ways 2007 is the second biennial conference held at UNT. Organized by the Philosophy of Water Project along with other departments Water Ways 2007 is not your ordinary conference. Featuring profound speakers from scientist to politicians such as, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Richard Sparks. They will be discussing all of the epidemic problems that are and could occur as well as preventative methods.

On the first day, March 13,2007, there will be opening remarks laying out the programs and issues to be discussed. Following the opening there will be a panel discussing rainwater harvesting featuring speaker Irene J. Klaver. Rodney Love, owner of Tierra Designs Rainwater Harvesting/Waterwise Landscaping, will be discussing North Texas Drought and the importance of water conservation. There will also be Philosophy in Film Series, the first film being showed by Deepa Mehta titled simply "WATER." There will also be artists who have created work inspired by and developed for Water Ways 2007.

The main focus of Water Ways is the river basins featuring the Ganga-Brahmaputra-Meghna(GBM). There will also be discussion on other crucial water issues. Water Ways 2007 is FREE and OPEN to the public. Come get hydrated with knowledge!
